Library

Chester Zoo Library is situated within Cedar House Administrative Offices, with public access from the Zoo. The Library is open from 10.00 am - 4pm, Monday to Friday and closes for lunch between 12.00 noon and 1pm.

Please telephone 01244 389453 on the day you wish to visit the library in case of a change to the advertised times. If you wish to use the library for research purposes and require assistance, please contact the Librarian/Archivist and also give notice of your intended visit a week in advance.

The Library houses a fine collection of zoological, horticultural, conservational and veterinary material with books, journals, reports, student projects and conference proceedings.

It is also the home of the Zoo archive collection, which covers the history of Chester Zoo from 1932 to the present day.
