Before there were people, there were beasts…
We’ve partnered with Jess French, author of fantasy adventure book ‘Beastlands’ to bring her mythical animal characters to life through an uniquely bespoke storytelling experience, ‘BEASTS‘.
Set before the Beastlands books, we’ll transport you to the worlds of mighty beasts in a highly curated visual experience with immersive floor projections, as we follow our intrepid protagonist, Thaddea, on a quest like no other…
‘BEASTS’ is written by Jess French, inspired by the Beastlands trilogy published by Bonnier Book.

We’re delighted to welcome author, veterinary surgeon, and children’s TV presenter, Jess French, writer of children’s fantasy book Beastlands and our NEW immersive digital 360° experience ‘BEASTS’.
10am – 10.30am: Reading an extract from Beastlands.
10.30am – 11.30am: Meet & greet / book signing.
12.30pm – 1pm: Reading an extract from Beastlands.

THIS HALF-TERM create your own mythical BEAST and see if your creature can help our amazing zoo rangers complete their mission along the GIANT pumpkin trail! Join one of our daily animal talks to help inspire your beastly creature creation.
EVERYDAY 26 OCTOBER – 3 NOVEMBER
| 11am – 3pm | Creature Creation | Find the rangers near Dragons In Danger to create your own BEAST. |
| 10am – 3pm | Bat Myth-Busting | Find the rangers outside Fruit Bat Forest to learn the truth about bats. |
| 11.10 am | Elephant Talk | Visit the elephants to hear the talk. |
| 2.20pm | Piranha Chat | Find the piranhas in Spirit of the Jaguar to join the chat. |
| 2.40pm | Jaguar Chat | Find the jaguars in Spirit of the Jaguar to join the chat. |
| 3pm – 4pm | Snake Myth-Busting | Visit Realm of the Red Ape to learn the truth about snakes. |
| 3.20pm | Penguin Talk | Visit the penguins to hear the talk. |
| 3.40pm | Komodo dragon Talk | Visit Dragons In Danger to hear the talk. |
