This teachers’ pack explores how supporting the sustainable production of palm oil can help the wildlife of Borneo and Sumatra to survive and thrive.

Through engaging activities and discussions, students learn how everyday choices, such as choosing products made with sustainable palm oil, can have a positive impact on rainforest ecosystems and endangered species like orangutans. The resource includes facts, case studies, and classroom activities designed to encourage pupils to become champions of sustainable living and conservation.

It provides teachers with creative tools, such as debate activities on the pros and cons of palm oil, data analysis tasks, and even cooking exercises using sustainable palm oil. By integrating these activities into lessons, educators can help students understand both the economic importance of palm oil and the environmental necessity of sustainability.
