Our animal and plant teams in the zoo have a busy day with lots of habitats to maintain and animals to care for, so expect the day to be quite physical and fast paced.

Who is it for?
Young people aged 14 – 17 years.
What is included?
A day of activities in the zoo from 8:30am – 4pm. Please note lunch is NOT included.
A typical keeper careers day may look like this (schedules are subject to change):
8.30am: Arrival
8.30 - 9am: Introductions and kit up
9 - 10am: Elephant husbandry routine
10.15-10.45am: Careers session and Q&A
11-11.45am: Introduction to horticulture
12-12.45pm: Animal enrichment making
1-1.30pm: Lunch
1.45-2.45pm: Mucking out habitats
3-3.45pm: Visit to amphibian pods
