Zoo Science CPD: The Science of Saving Species

The course is designed for teaching staff – particularly those delivering zoo and animal science related courses in FE, but also those considering a career in either science teaching or zoo research related fields wanting to explore the different roles our teams play in preventing extinction.

We will cover the following areas of our work:

• Social Science and the role of a modern zoo
• Sustainable populations, studbook data and EEPs
• Behaviour and Welfare including case studies and technology used
• Conservation Physiology and Reproductive Management

This workshop will include a tour of the new science centre and time to meet all of our science teams at the zoo.
