Celebrate the giraffes moving to an INCREDIBLE NEW home with a giraffe adoption.
From autumn 2024, until the opening of Heart of Africa in 2025, the giraffes will not be visible to visitors. During this time, the giraffes are moving and settling into their new habitat in the new Heart of Africa area. Visitors will be able to see the giraffes again when Heart of Africa opens in 2025. If you adopt a giraffe, you’ll still be able to see your name displayed on the Thank You plaque by the previous giraffe house in the meantime.
How your adoption will help giraffes.
Giraffes are under threat, both in captivity and in the wild.
Nubian giraffes have been extensively hunted for their meat, but their main threat is loss of habitat. With your help, we believe our conservation research can influence the sustainability of endangered species and inspire others to join us in our challenge to protect our planet’s biodiversity.
Together we can help save this truly unique species from extinction.
