Andrew and Savitha Calthorpe have generously supported our charity for many years.
In 2020, they kindly funded works in the new Asiatic lion habitat, including a zip wire feeder which provides both enrichment for the lions.
More recently they have made a hugely impact gift to fund a project protecting Asian elephants in Assam, India. Their support is helping to create a protected habitat for the critically endangered elephants as well as helping the local population and providing a better future for them too.
They said: “Protecting wildlife, maintaining the balance of nature and preserving our environment for is essential for future generations. The beauty of the Assam Haathi project is that local people are involved at the heart of it, they not only directly benefit, but they are encouraged to uphold the integrity of their own ecosystems, promoting resilience and biodiversity.”
Andrew and Savitha means the world to us and we are so grateful for their incredible support of our work.
